Spring Clean-Up: 1km Pollinator Parthway
While it’s still too early for full garden maintenance, this is the perfect time to help get our spaces ready for the season ahead.
Join us for a community clean-up along the 1km Pollinator Pathway, focusing on tidying up litter and keeping the gardens looking cared for while we wait for pollinators to fully emerge.
We’ll move together along Bloor, stopping at several garden sites:
Clinton & Bloor Pollinator Pocket Garden
The Green P Gardens
Manning Boulevard Garden
Details:
Date: Saturday, April 12
Time: 2:00 PM
Meeting Point: Pollinator Pocket Garden (NE corner of Clinton & Bloor)
(beside Japas Restaurant – 692 Bloor St W)
I’ll have some extra grabbers, buckets, gloves, and bags on hand — feel free to bring your own if you have them.
Come for the full walk or just drop in for a portion — all help is appreciated. It’s a great way to reconnect, meet neighbours, and ease into the season together.
Native Plant Winter Seed Sowing Worshop
Rewilders is hosting a hands-on native plant seed sowing workshop at Karma Co-op, focused on simple, low-tech methods for growing native plants from seed using natural winter conditions.
Participants will learn how cold-moist stratification works and spend most of the session sowing native plant seeds into pots and trays, with guidance and time for questions. All materials are provided, and attendees will leave with multiple pots of sown native seeds ready to overwinter outdoors and germinate in the spring for home gardens, balconies, or sharing with others.
Registration is required through Eventbrite and space is limited. The cost is $30 to help cover materials. No gardening experience is required — all skill levels are welcome.
